Chelsea 7/4 To Retain The Fa Cup

FOOTBALL BETTING: Chelsea are Ladbrokes 7/4 favourites to retain the FA Cup following the fifth round. Manchester City are 4/1 at Betfred and Aston Villa 7s with bet365.

The Cup holders face Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge and the Bluebirds who got to the final in 2008 are unlikley to have many takers ever at Betdaq‘s price of 200/1.

City host Stoke. The Potters, who beat a weakened Arsenal side at the weekend are a massive 50/1 at Boylesports
Aston Villa come next in the betting at 7/1 (888Sport) and travel to the winners of the Wolves V Crystal Palace replay which takes place on the 2nd February.

Bet365 make Spurs 8/1 and if Harry Redknapp’s side can beat Leeds in their replay next week they will travel to Bolton (40/1 totesport) on 13 February.

Fulham are 14/1 at Blue Square and they entertain the winners of Wigan’s replay with Notts County. The Latics are given a quote of 50/1 to win their first piece of major silverware by Paddy Power.

In form Birmingham City are 16/1 (bet365) but must overcome Nigel Clough’s Derby County (200/1 William Hill) to win a place in the last eight.

At least one Championship side will be in the quarter finals as Reading (100/1 Sportingbet), who have already knocked out Liverpool and Burnley host Newcastle’s conquerors West Brom who can be backed at 66/1 at Stan James.

The final tie of the round sees League One Southampton welcome arch rivals Portsmouth to St Mary’s. Pompey, who won the competition in 2008, are a best price 40/1 at both 888Sport and Stan James to put their Premier League woes behind them and emulate that feat.
