Masters Money As Punters In Woods

GOLF BETTING: US Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin has expressed his desire for Tiger Woods to be a part of his team at Celtic Manor in October, and is confident that the world number one will be involved.

Pavin also said he believes that Woods will be ready to play the US Masters in April, and Coral bookmakers have cut him to 1-2 (from 4-6) to make the line up.

“With the rumours growing stronger that Tiger’s return is imminent, we have seen plenty of money for him to make the first tee at Augusta, and have been forced to cut his price to 1-2 (from 4-6). There is also a lot of interest in the 11-4 for him to go on and win it,” said Coral spokesman Gary Burton.

Woods is 6-4 not to play the Masters, and is 3-1 to be the top scorer for the USA in the Ryder Cup.
