HORSE RACING: A look at some of today’s market moves in the ante post horse racing markets, including Saturday’s 2000 Guineas. Compare latest odds for ante post horse racing.
2000 Guineas:
Canford Cliffs has seen some movement over the weekend, Coral have cut him from 9/1 to 7/1 after renewed interest. Canford Cliffs had drifted after losing at Newbury 9 days ago but it appears some faith is being restored, Victor Chandler has cut from 10/1 to 6/1. Ladbrokes still offer 8/1.
Al Zir has also seen some considerable interest, Blue Square have lopped him from 20/1 to 11/1 and Ladbrokes have followed suit by going from 20/1 to 12’s. This is presumably reaction to a strong Godolphin showing at Longchamp at the weekend suggesting they are ready to take on The Classics.
1000 Guineas:
Special Duty has been nudged in from 7/2 to 3/1 by a number of firms including Coral, Totesport and William Hill. Seta now occupies joint 2nd fav spot with Music Show after Seta moved in to 5/1 from 6’s with Paddy Power and William Hill went to 5/1 from 7’s.
Music Show has been given similar treatment by Betfred, 9/2 from 6/1. Hibaayeb is the outsider on the move, Boylesports tempted into moving him to 16’s from 25/1.
The Oaks:
Hibaayeb again features, Paddy Power cutting from 20/1 to 16/1. This is yet more evidence that confidence is growing in an all out assault on The Classics by the Godolphin group.
The Derby:
Chabal is cut to 16/1 from 20’s by William Hill, yet another Godolphin mover.
