Irish 2000 Guineas:
The 48 hour declarations have been made for the Irish 2000 Guineas and the bookies are still having problems splitting Steinbeck and Canford Cliffs. Sportingbet have moved Steinbeck into 3/1 from 10/3 to meet the best price available on Canford.
Blue Square nudge Fencing Master into 9/2 from 5’s and outsider Oasis Dancer goes to 20/1 from 25/1 with bet365.
Irish 1000 Guineas:
Music Show continues to assert authority at the top of the order, Victor Chandler moving to 10/3 from 4/1, though trainer Mick Channon has admitted they may be at the mercy of the weather.
The Temple Stakes:
A competitive market has seen movement all over the card, Kingsgate Native is moved to 4/1 by both Totesport and Sportingbet from 5/1 and 9/2 respectively. Borderlescott is shortened to 4/1 from 5’s by Betfred but Paddy Power have opted to continue the tightening by notching in to 7/2 to make Borderlescott their joint fav.
Stan James shift Total Gallery to 13/2 from 8’s despite a 7lb penalty after last year’s group 1 win.
The Silver Bowl:
Our Joe Mac attracts the main attention, Stan James making the biggest move, 9/2 from 6/1.Jockey Paul Hanagan is confident of his chances after a good 2nd at Chester from the worst draw.
The Oaks:
Timepiece goes to 8/1 from 9’s with William Hill. Rewilding looks as though he will run for Godolphin after being supplemented, Stan James putting 10/1 about him after a good showing at Goodwood.
