RUGBY LEAGUE BETTING: Live on Skysports2: Fri 20.00 & Sun 17.30: Leeds clash with Wakefield and Quins face Crusaders in this weekend’s Super League action. Compare odds and bet at the best prices
The first televised game of the weekend is a local clash when Leeds (4th) entertain Wakefield (8th). Leeds, who are 11/4 3-way joint favs with Paddy Power for the Grand Final titel, are heavy 1/6 favourites (Betfred) to prosper against a Wakefield side who have only won once in 6 outings.
Wakefield did show good spirit against Leeds in Round 13, only losing by 4 points and they had a confidence boosting win over Quins last week. The +16 handicap on Wakefield with SkyBet makes them 10/11 and if they play with the energy they did the last time these 2 teams met, that should be enough.
Elsewhere, Warrington are 4/5 with a -12 handicap (Bet365) to win away at Salford. It’s hard to know which Salford are going to turn up but Warrington should prove to be to much for them, as they were at Murrayfield.
Hull meet St Helens in a tight top of the table clash, St Helens chalked up as 4/7 fav with Victor Chandler. St Helens are rampant on the points tally at the moment but Hull will give them plenty to think about. St Helens are 1/1 with Bet365 with a -6 handicap
On Sunday, Harlequins will face Crusaders, Harlequins will be without captain Rob Purdham, who is out on compassionate leave. Odds to follow.
Bottom placed Catalans travel to Hull KR buoyant after their points bonanza in the Challenge Cup but that wont be enough to help them back in the big leagues. Hull KR should win easily. Odds to follow.
Top placed Wigan host Castleford. Odds to follow.
A tight mid table match up sees Bradford play Huddersfield. Bradford played well against Leeds in the Cup and will want to build on that, however they must be aware that Huddersfield ran Wigan and Warrington reasonably hard in their last 2 league matches. A Huddersfield handicap is well worth a look. Odds to follow.
