WORLD CUP FINAL BETTING PREVIEW: Danny Fullbrook previews Sunday’s World Cup Final direct from the Rainbow Nation. The Daily Star’s Chief Football Writer fancies the underdogs to win 2-1.
World Cup Final Betting Preview
In a lot of ways this World Cup Final was played out earlier in the season when Inter Milan took on Barcelona.
It was then that you had Wesley Sneijder up against Xavi and four others of the Spanish starting 11.
The Dutchman was simply brilliant in both legs of the game, and Inter earned their place in the final against Bayern Munich, which of course they won. Sneijder already
has a treble to his name with the Italian League and Cup double added to the European Cup, and for me he is going to be the key player in the game.
Spain are the masters of football, and they of course have the brilliant Xavi and Iniesta, with David Villa up front.
But the wind is with the Netherlands and in particular Sneijder at the moment Things happen in games when he is
around and the dutch are on a wave of confidence.
I also can not believe that Robin van Persie will go through this whole tournament without putting in one special performance. That of course could now come in the World Cup Final.
To say he is due a goal is an understatement. On the other hand the same could be said of Fernando Torres who has begged Vicente Del Bosque to play him from the start despite his poor form.
Spain are overall favourites for this match, but in a European Battle on South African soil I take the Dutch to win 2-1 and sneijder to then be named World Player of the Year.
