Tennis Betting: Live on Skysports 2: Mon 17.30: Men’s Final: Nadal v Djokovic Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic go head to head in the US Open Final at Flushing Meadows. Check today’s odds.
Nadal and Djokovic were washed out on the Sunday, pushing play back to today but Nadal remains the firm 2/5 fav (Betfred) to lift the trophy.
Djokovic, 12/5 outsider with Boylesport, did fantastically well to oust Roger Federer in the semi over 5 sets, a match in which he won at least 5 games in every set. Djokovic may have been slightly under-estimated in this meeting, considering he has beaten the heavy tournament fav and had an extra day due to a rain delay to get over any cramps and stiffness.
Nadal was always going to beat Youzhny and did so in 3 sets in the other semi but will perhaps be taken a little by surprise by the quality of opponent compared to what he has faced so far.
The feeling is that Djokovic has been overprived somewhat; a 3-1 and 3-2 win for the Serb is 7/1 and 8/1 respectively with Stan James, which are great prices to split stakes between.
