Ladbrokes have opened their book on next year’s top trainer and make Henry Cecil 5/1 to win the 2011 Flat trainers’ title.
The high street and internet giant have Cecil just behind Sir Michael Stoute and Aidan O’Brien who are disputing favouritism at 11/4.
Cecil had been an 8/1 chance before Frankel and Twice Over combined to hand the Newmarket trainer a huge boost and enhance his chances of a vintage season next year.
David Williams for Ladbrokes told betrescue.com’s racing desk: “The glory days are back for Cecil and with some serious ammunition we’re taking him very seriously for the trainers’ title next year.
“It looks set to be as competitive a trainers’ title race as we’ve seen with all the big names in contention and no stand-out candidate.”
In the 2011 Flat jockeys’ championship, Ladbrokes have cut Ryan Moore into even money (from 5/4) after strong support from punters expecting him to regain his title.
