Danny Fullbrook’s TV Tips

The Daily Star’s Chief Football writer, Danny Fullbrook gives his verdict on this weekend’s televised matches in the Premier League

Tottenham v Everton, Live on Skysports 2: Sat 12.45:
It will be intersteing to see how Spurs get on at home against Everton after their midweek travels. But they are a rampant side at White Hart Lane, Spurs are 6/5 to win (Betfred), and of course they will have Rafael van der Vaart back in the team because as he was suspended midweek, and he is 13/2 (Bet365) to score the first goal.

West Ham v Newcastle, Live on Skysports 2: Sat 17.30:
West Ham (7/5 Stan James) against Newcastle (9/4 Coral) is much more difficult to predict. Both teams are Jekyll and Hyde but Newcastle in particular can score goals and are playing better away from home at the moment than at home.

Paddy Power has a fun bet of West Ham winning first half and then Newcastle to come back and win the game in the second, and that is 30/1. Why not have a little dabble.

Stoke v Man United, Live on Skysports 1: Sun 13.30:
One punter has just said to me look at how Mnachester United play with their backs to the wall, and do you know what, despite it being Stoke, which is a hard place to go, I think United will definitely come out fighting this weekend and blow Tony Puilis’ side away, Man United are 3/4 with Betdaq. I expect them to score in both halves (15/8 Boylesports) and win comfortably.

Man City v Arsenal, Live on Skysports 1: Sun 16.00:
It was a prediction of mine at the start of the season that Manchester City would end up as the biggest challengers to Chelsea to win the title, and that is starting to look true. Although I still feel Roberto mancini’s team will be runners-up.

But a another huge test of their credentials comes against Arsenal at Eastlands on Sunday. It should be a cracker of a game with the gunnesr attacking philosophy up against the more defensive approach of City. Again I take Mancini’s team to win because of home advantage, 6/4 with .

I like the bet of drawing at half-time with City winning in the end which is 9/2 with Paddy Power, and Carlos Tevez probably scoring the winner (5/1 last goalscorer, Stan James).
