Premier League Team News

Keep up to date with the latest Premier League team changes, injuries and suspensions for the upcoming weekend.

Premier League team news:

Wigan v Wolverhampton
Franco Di Santo (ankle) is a doubt for WIGAN after he damaged ligaments last weekend but can call on Gary Caldwell in an otherwise clean bill of health. Sadly for WOLVES, Adlene Guedioura (tibia) suffered a broken leg against Aston Villa and faces a lengthy spell off while Stephen Hunt (foot) requires a couple more weeks for his metatarsal fracture.

Birmingham v Everton
Craig Gardner begins a suspension for his red card for BIRMINGHAM and James McFadden is out with ligament damage but Michel should recover from a dead leg. Louis Saha (knee) has suffered a setback in his recovery and EVERTON will also be without Tony Hibbert (groin) so look set to name an unchanged side for this weekend’s trip.

Stoke v Blackburn
STOKE forward Ricardo Fuller (shoulder) faces at least one week on the sidelines after dislocating a shoulder but Jermaine Pennant could feature after shaking off a hamstring strain. Vince Grella’s fitness (hamstring) will be assessed by BLACKBURN right up until kick off and Brett Emerton should retain his place after his injury time winner at Blackpool.

Sunderland v Man Utd
SUNDERLAND have the option to call on ‘keeper Craig Gordon and John Mensah but loanee Danny Welbeck is ineligible to play against his parent club. UNITED have a raft of injuries as Rooney (ankle) and Scholes (calf) succumbed to injuries midweek for a couple of weeks, as did Ryan Giggs (hamstring), but Rio Ferdinand should take his place at centre half.

Tottenham v Aston Villa
TOTTENHAM’S defensive woes are eased after Ledley King managed 90 minutes against Twente but William Gallas (groin) and Younis Kaboul (hamstring) are out and Jermain Defoe (ankle) remains sidelined. Gabriel Agbonlahor has aggravated a groin injury and won’t feature but VILLA could welcome back Richard Dunne (knee) and possibly John Carew (back) after injuries.

West Brom v Bolton
Joe Mattock (thigh) is unlikely to recover in time for the weekend but THE BAGGIES will give a late fitness test to Ishmael Miller (thigh) and while Pablo Ibanez and Roman Bednar have returned to training, they will most likely sit-out. BOLTON welcome back captain Gary Cahill following his suspension but Sean Davis (knee) will not feature.

West Ham v Fulham
WEST HAM are boosted by the news that Kieron Dyer (illness) is fit to line up and further buoyed by the impending return of attacking due Thomas Hitzlsperger and Valeron Behrami but will have to assess their fitness. FULHAM are short up front but Moussa Dembele (ankle) could return in two weeks and Andrew Johnson has begun training after long lay off.

Man City v Newcastle – Sun
Micah Richards (hamstring) should return for MAN CITY but Wayne Bridge (hip), Alek Kolarov (ankle) and Pablo Zabaleta’s (hamstring) absences prolongs Mancini’s issues at left-back and Shaun Wright-Phillips (knee) is also a doubt. Sol Campbell (thigh) may be in-line for his league debut for NEWCASTLE, as he should shake off a small strain procured midweek.

Liverpool v Blackpool – Sun
Dan Agger (groin) is a serious doubt ahead of Sunday’s game while Paul Konchesky (hamstring) and Fabio Aurelio’s (Achilles) absences give manager Roy Hodgson some selection headaches but Fernando Torres looks to be over his injury woes. BLACKPOOL will miss Alex Baptiste (surgery) but have no extra injury worries ahead of their trip to Anfield.

Chelsea v Arsenal – Sun
CHELSEA are without Yossi Benayoun (hamstring) and Salomon Kalou (leg) and Frank Lampard will not recover in time after a training set back. ARSENAL have real injury worries after Cesc Fabregas (hamstring) is confirmed as a weekend absentee and Jack Wilshere joins a growing injury list and has only a slim chance of making Sunday’s game.
