Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Tuesday – Dunowen Point in the 3.15 at Catterick Bridge. Early price 7/4 bet365
The race of the day on Tuesday is the 2m3f novices’ hurdle (1:15) at Catterick in which useful bumper performer Carpincho takes on a competitive field that includes another smart prospect, Rival D’Estruval.
I’ve been waiting for both to reappear, so this looks a watching brief and the race is sure to provide plenty of future winners.
The concluding bumper also features a couple of exciting young prospects, including Kelso runner-up Fourjacks, but preference is for Donald McCain’s Dunowen Point (3:15) who travelled with some purpose on his rules debut at Hexham in October. Early price 7/4 bet365
He looked likely to win his sole Irish point when unseating his jockey at the penultimate fence and the son of Old Vic should appreciate the less demanding conditions this time.
Paul Ferguson’s Jumpers To Follow 2010-11 is available hot off the press from the 1st October for just £9.99
