Oscar Whisky is the latest horse to be backed ahead of the Ladbroke Hurdle at Ascot and is now an 8/1 shot (from 10/1) with totesport.
Nicky Henderson’s gelding hasn’t been seen since finishing fourth in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and will be making his seasonal reappearance on Saturday.
There has also been a shake-up in the betting for the Coral Welsh National following the news that second-favourite Galant Nuit will miss the race after suffering a setback during his prep race at Cheltenham last Saturday.
Consequently, favourite Synchronised has shortened at the head of totesport’s market for the race and is 6/1 (from 7/1) whilst Maktu is the new 10/1 second-favourite (from 12/1). There has also been support for Dance Island this afternoon and the seven-year-old is now 12/1 (from 14/1).
