Premier League Team News

Check on all the latest injury news ahead of this weekend’s Premier League fixtures before you place your bets.

Wolves v Liverpool
Karl Henry and Jody Craddock will line up for WOLVES after making comebacks in the FA Cup and new-signing Adam Hammill could make the bench but George Elokobi is suspended. LIVERPOOL are without suspended captain Steven Gerrard but Dan Agger and David N’Gog will be available again after shaking off illness and a knock respectively.

Arsenal v Wigan
Lukas Fabianski may be fit again for ARSENAL but it remains to be seen if he displaces Wojchiech Szczesny in goals while Abou Diaby (calf) will be out again, along with Sebastian Squillaci (hamstring). Chris Kirkland is ready to take his place in WIGAN’s goal but Tom Cleverley (hamstring) and James McCarthy (ankle) will definitely not feature.

Blackpool v Sunderland
BLACKPOOL should welcome back Marlon Harewood from a long layoff but Matthew Gilks (knee) remains out. SUNDERLAND are facing a striker shortage as Darren Bent departs and Danny Welbeck (hamstring) faces another six weeks out while David Meyler (knee) is also sidelined but Lee Cattermole makes a crucial comeback into midfield.

Everton v West Ham
EVERTON’s midfield will be a little short as Steven Pienaar leaves the club and Tim Cahill remains on international duty while Louis Saha (thigh) is out but Phil Jagielka should recover from a thigh injury. WEST HAM retain Avram Grant and could see returns for Henry Ilunga and Lars Jacosben but will be without Victor Obinna (suspension) and Jack Collison (knee).

Fulham v Stoke
Andrew Johnson could win a starting berth for FULHAM after his goal and Moussa Dembele is also challenging while David Stockdale will continue to deputise in goal but Phillipe Senderos (Achilles) is still out. STOKE’s tiny injury list could be cleared this weekend as Mamady Sidibe and Eidur Gudjohnsen are eyeing returns after Achilles and neck injuries.

Man United v Birmingham
Rafael sits out for MAN UNITED with a one match ban while John O’Shea and Paul Scholes both played an hour for the reserves and will push to make the squad. Scott Dann (hamstring) will miss the rest of the season for BIRMINGHAM and Marcus Bent has left on loan but Cameron Jerome will return while Sebastian Larsson is subject to a transfer bid.

Newcastle v Tottenham
Alan Smith (ankle) is facing four months out for NEWCASTLE and Andy Carroll (thigh) is a very big doubt meaning Danny Guthrie and Leon Best will deputise while Cheik Tiote is suspended. Steven Pienaar will make TOTTENHAM’s bench while Jamie O’Hara (back) and Jonathan Woodgate (groin) played for the reserves but are unlikely to make the first team.

Aston Villa v Man City
Darren Bent will go straight into VILLA’s starting XI, made more certain by Emile Heskey’s suspension while Luke Young (knee) will miss out but Steve Ireland could feature on the subs bench. MAN CITY are without Mario Balotelli (knee), Emmanuel Adebayor (heel) and Micah Richards (back), who continues to struggle, but David Silva makes a return to midfield.

Blackburn v West Brom – Sun
New signings Jermaine Jones and Roque Santa Cruz are pushing for starts for BLACKBURN while Steven Nzonzi and Keith Andrews (both groin) are doubts and Vince Grella (Achilles) is definitely out. WEST BROM will welcome back Jonas Olsson while Youssouf Mulumbu and Graham Dorrans should be fine following knocks but Steven Reid (knee) is out.

Bolton v Chelsea – Mon
Ivan Klasnic is ready for a BOLTON call-up after groin problems and a number of players, including Jlloyd Samuel (calf), Gretar Steinsson (knee) and Joey O’Brien (knee) are all very close to a return. CHELSEA are sweating over the fitness of Frank Lampard (calf) but have moved to reassure fans he will be fit for Monday while Alex (knee) has suffered a setback.
