Crewe revived their play-off hopes at the weekend with an impressive 2-0 victory against League Two leaders Chesterfield and they look set to follow that up by beating Southend at Gresty Road.
The Shrimpers are winless in four and have lost their last couple on the road, at Morecambe and Lincoln, two teams in the bottom half of the table while the Alex are solid on their own patch, possessing the best home goal difference in the division. An odds-against quote of 23/20 with for Dario Gradi’s men to nick it is therefore hard to ignore.
At Gigg Lane, Betdaq rate a Bury success at 2.05 (21/20) as the Shakers entertain Torquay. The Gulls did smash five past Shrewsbury at the weekend, but that came at Plainmoor and they have looked a little less convincing on their travels of late so it’s easy to make a case for Alan Knill’s stubborn troops, who have kept four consecutive clean sheets and won four of their last five.
