The Daily Star’s Chief Football writer, Danny Fullbrook, reckons City will draw at Chelsea but Liverpool could struggle in the Premier League.
Sunderland v Liverpool, Sun 20th Mar, 13.30, Skysports 1
On Sunday there is Sunderland against Liverpool at lunchtime. Steve Bruce’s team have struggled off late but they will be well up for this game, and after the Europa League exertions for Kenny Dalglish’s side, they will falter at the Stadium of Light.
Chelsea v Man City, Sun 20th Mar, 16.00, Skysports 1
Carlo Ancelotti has a problem on his hands with the lack of goals from his strikers. The home game against Copenhagen was an ideal opportunity for the side to find their scoring boots. But again Fernando Torres failed and Didier Drogba did not do any better.
It hardly provides much confidence for the game against Manchester City on Sunday which is a massive clash between the new money of the Premier League. It is a tough game for both sides, but for me it will be the one where Chelsea’s defence of their title will finally come to an end.
I just can’t see Ancelotti’s side (4/6, 888sport)beating Roberto Mancini’s team (5/1, William Hill) because City are so difficult to unpick. They themselves have their own scoring problems though, so for me this has got a tight 0-0 draw written all over it, which is hardly entertaining, but at 10/1 with Totesport is a very timely and value bet for me.
The draw itself is 11/4 (bet365) if you think the two teams will find the back of the net.
