Zaynar For World Hurdle

It was confirmed on Tuesday that the 2009 Triumph Hurdle winner Zaynar will run in the World Hurdle rather than the Champion Hurdle at next week’s Cheltenham Festival.

spokesperson Charlie McCann: “I spoke to one of the co-owners of the grey earlier this afternoon who said after much discussion it was agreed to go for the World Hurdle rather than the Champion. Although his stamina must be taken on trust Victor suggested that both Barry (Geraghty) and Nicky (Henderson) were optimistic that he would get the 3m and, as he goes very well fresh, they were looking for a very good run. The son of Daylami had a wind operation eight weeks ago. will refund all bets on the horse placed for the 2011 Champion Hurdle.”
