Paul Hanagan and Ryan Moore are now joint-favs for the Flat Jockeys’ C’ship with totesport after the current champion was cut to 5/4 (from 6/4) by the Wigan-based firm this morning.
Hanagan has made another fantastic start to the season, racking up a total of 22 victories before racing started this afternoon which puts him 12 ahead of his main market rival who has only ridden 10 winners to date.
“Paul Hanagan has made another flying start to the season and with Richard Fahey providing plenty of firepower for the current champion, everything looks in place for another tilt at the title,” said totesport spokesman George Primarolo.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Casamento has been cut to 12/1 (from 16/1) by totesport for the QIPCO 2000 Guineas after Godolphin suggested there was a ‘strong chance’ the horse would line up at Newmarket on Saturday.
There has also been support for Nova Hawk in the QIPCO 1000 Guineas and Rod Collet’s filly is now 25/1 (from 33/1).
