Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Tuesday to add to Monday’s win; The Strawberry One (5.30 Towc) and Teshali (6.45 Taun).
Paul Nicholls’ TESHALI (6:45) turned the corner on his penultimate start at Newbury and backed that up by winning here at Taunton 4 days later.
The grey appears to be improving fast and can follow up on his favoured quick ground this evening.
At Towcester it is worth taking a chance on THE STRAWBERRY ONE (5:30) in the mares novices’ hurdle, despite her falling at the first on her recent hurdles debut.
The daughter of Kadastrof looked good when winning a bumper here last April, having earlier won at Market Rasen when she had one of today’s rivals, Sara’s Smile, back in third.
She re-opposes on 13lb better terms so can confirm the form if jumping proficiently and is taken to strike for the in-form David Arbuthnot.
The trainer has won with three of the last four jumpers he has saddled, including Topolski at Aintree last Friday, and he has a fine strike rate at the track.
