Danny Fullbrook’s TV Tips

The Daily Star’s Chief Football writer, Danny Fullbrook, gives his verdict on the televised matches for the final Premier League matches.

Well here we go. The last weekend of the Premier League season and it is all about who is going to stay in the top flight.

It is two from five and it is going to be an emotional weekend.

Sky will be showing three games live simultaneously so punters can keep track with everything that is going on and bet live and up to date.

Stoke v Wigan, Sun 22nd May, 16.00, Skysports 1 Red But
The one bet I really like is that Wigan are going to beat Stoke City away to stay up. Roberto Martinez’s team are on a high after beating West Ham and I just think that Stoke are gone at all levels now after they lost the FA cup Final and then 3-0 in midweek to Manchester City.

Wigan are to stay up in my book which is a massive turnaround for them. Take a look at Wigan at 6/4 () to win the game and Paddy Power’s 5/1 to be drawing at half-time and then for Wigan to win.

Man United v Blackpool, Sun 22nd May, 16.00, Skysports 1
I am afraid I don’t have the same confidence in Blackpool away from home (9/2, Betfred). It is nonsense to question which Manchester United team will play because whichever one will be good enough (United are 8/13, Boylesports).

Players are fighting for a Champions League starting spot and they will steamroll Blackpool who will be in the Championship by the end of the day. Blackpool will score so take a look at 3-1 United which offers up 12/1 at Betdaq.

Also have a look at Berbatov to score first (4/1 with Coral) because he wants to beat Tevez to the golden boot in the Premier League.

Tottenham v Birmingham, Sun 22nd May, 16.00, Skysports 2
The other TV game is Birmingham against Tottenham at White Hart Lane. Alex McLeish is a tough manager and I think he will get his team bang on, but the problem is that City can not score goals.

I think this is likely to be a draw and they will have to hope that both Blackpool and Wigan lose. The odds on a draw are still 10/3 with which is good enough value in my book for a two horse race where each side have something to fight for.

Compare all Premier League odds and bet at the best prices.

Happy Punting

Cheers

Danny
