Frankel has been cut to 9/4 favourite (from 7/2) by totesport for the Investec Derby after proving himself to be in a different league to his rivals in this afternoon’s Qipco 2000 Guineas.
Henry Cecil has left options open for his superstar after Prince Khalid Abdullah’s colt blew his rivals away in the first classic of the season and there is a possibility he could line up for the totesport Dante Stakes at York should he recover in time.
“Frankel’s brilliant Guineas win will certainly split punters into two camps and for every one that thinks he won’t stay the Derby trip in a horsebox, there will be another who won’t hear of defeat for him,” said totesport spokesman George Primarolo.
Carlton House was also trimmed to 6/1 (from 7/1) second-favouritism alongside Frankel’s stablemate World Domination. Casamento has been pushed out to 14/1 and is the same price as Guineas third Native Khan.
