Zain Al Boldan has been slashed to 12/1 (from 66/1) by totesport for the Investec Oaks after romping to victory in the Oaks Trial Stakes at Lingfield.
Mick Channon’s filly had previously scrambled home in a ten-furlong handicap at Folkestone but showed plenty of improvement for a further step up in trip to score by a comfortable six lengths.
“On the face of it, Zain Al Boldan may not have beaten much at Lingfield but is so progressive that it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that she can make the frame in the Oaks in a couple of weeks time,” said totesport spokesman George Primarolo.
QIPCO 1000 Guineas winner Blue Bunting remains the 11/4 favourite for the race with totesport ahead of 13/2 shot Havant. There has also been support for Recital in the Investec Derby and Aidan O’Brien’s colt is now 9/1 (from 12/1) with totesport.
