Treasure Beach has been given a quote of 16/1 by totesport for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe after leading home an Aidan O’Brien 1-2-3 in the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby at the Curragh this afternoon.
He has also been cut to 5/1 (from 7/1) for the St Leger whilst third-placed Memphis Tennessee has also been trimmed for the Doncaster classic and is now 10/1 (from 14/1).
“Although Treasure Beach was relatively unfancied when finishing second at Epsom, he showed that run was no fluke with a battling success in Ireland and he certainly wouldn’t look out of place in what could be a top-class Arc field at Longchamp,” said totesport spokesman George Primarolo.
Sarafina has also been nibbled for the Arc this afternoon and is now 10/1 (from 12/1) for the Longchamp showpiece.
