Two Aidan O’Brien-trained runnners have been the subject of support for upcoming Group One targets with Coral today. Wonder Of Wonders is 10-11 favourite (from 11-10) to reverse Investec Oaks placings with Dancing Rain, the 7-2 second favourite, in Sunday’s Darley Irish Oaks, while stablemate St Nicholas Abbey is 5-4 (from 6-4) market leader for next weekend’s King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes, a race Coral are quoting possible supplementary entry Nathaniel for at 8-1.
“Punters seem convinced that Wonder Of Wonders will get her revenge on Dancing Rain on Sunday, and given the excellent record of the Ballydoyle runners in the Irish Group Ones this summer, her price could well shorten further,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
“We are quoting Nathaniel at 8-1 for the King George, as he could have decent each-way claims in what may be a small field, although St Nicholas Abbey is the clear choice as winner with punters at present,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
