Last season’s Queen Elizabeth II stakes winner, Poet’s Voice, is the 5-2 (from 3-1) favourite with Coral for Saturday’s Celebration Mile, following support for the Godolphin runner today. By contrast, Strong Suit is currently weak in the market, and Richard Hannon’s charge is out to 10-3 (from 3-1).
“With Strong Suit’s participation at Goodwood dependent on the going, punters have steered clear of the Lennox Stakes winner, and instead are backing Poet’s Voice to make a winning reappearance, having been off the track since the Dubai World Cup,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
Elsewhere, last week’s impressive Great Voltigeur winner, Sea Moon, heads Coral’s betting for next month’s St Leger at evens, ahead of another York winner, Blue Bunting, at 4-1, following the latest entry stage for the Doncaster Classic.
