After his gold in the World Road Race Championship, Mark Cavendish has been slashed to 5/1 (from 10/1) by Coral for the SPOTY award
Coral spokesman Gary Burton said “Cavendish has had as good a year as he could possibly have hoped for, and by adding the world title to his Tour sprint crown, he is now very much a front runner for a SPOTY win.”
Golfer, Darren Clarke, remains the odds-on favourite to win the award at 5-6, with Mo Farah and Rory McIlroy next in the betting at 4-1.
