Take Two Sunday Draws @ 11/1

The Daily Star’s Chief Football writer, Danny Fullbrook, thinks Spurs v Liverpool and United v Chelsea will both be draws on Sunday.

Tottenham v Liverpool, Sun 18th, 13.30, Skysports 1
The first game on Sunday is Tottenham against Liverpool which will be a fun match and I think there will be goals galore – Ladbrokes going evens for 3 or more.

Liverpool do have the benefit, although they will not like it, of not playing in Europe this season. As a result they are going to have been able to rest this week. But Spurs is a tough place to go and a 2-2 draw is on the cards for me (14/1 with Totesport) with Andy Carroll coming off the bench to get a goal – Stan James make him 12/5 anytime and Blue Square 15/2 to get the last goal.

Man Utd v Chelsea, Sun 18th, 16.00, Skysports 1
It might be last on Sunday, but this is the game of the weekend. Manchester United v Chelsea is really all that matters. They have won the last 7 titles between them so although Andre Villas Boas says this game does not effect the final outcome of the league, I think it will set the pattern between now and Christmas.

With Didier Drogba out injured this is about Fernando Torres from a Chelsea point of view and after the way he played midweek, I think he will start. It might seem crazy, but he has got to score a goal at some point so I fancy backing him in this one because with Liverpool he always did well at Old Trafford and this could be the same. Take William Hill’s 7/2 for him to score anytime.

United have been scoring for fun this year but Chelsea’s backline is far harder to breach, but while a United home win probably makes common sense, 5/6 with Betfred, personally I am going for 1-1 which comes in at 7/1 courtesy of Ladbrokes.
