Danny Fullbrook’s TV Tips

The Daily Star’s Chief Football writer, Danny Fullbrook, gives his verdict on the three televised Premier League fixtures this weekend.

Everton v Liverpool, Sat 1st, 12.45, Skysports 2
Saturday’s massive derby is Everton against Liverpool with huge bragging rights to contend with. Clearly the Everton squad is a bit down in the dumps at the moment after losing Arteta and the way results have gone, but they are hard-nosed battlers who never know when they are beaten.

As for Liverpool, 6/4 favs with Paddy Power, I am not sure that Kenny Dalglish knows what his best team is in the first place. He is making the right decision to ease Steven Gerrard back into the side. I think Liverpool will score first in this game (10/11, Totesport), probably through Suarez, who is 5/1 with William Hill to grab the opener, and then Everton to equalise late on for a 1-1 result, a 6/1 scoreline with Ladbrokes.

Bolton v Chelsea, Sun 2nd, 13.30, Skysports 1
Sunday’s first TV game is Bolton against Chelsea. The Reebok has been a happy place for the Blues, winning their first title there in 50 years with two Lampard goals in 2005.

But with the way AVB is you can’t even be sure that Lampard will be playing. You would expect him to with his great performance midweek. If he does I take him to score first, a bumper 8/1 with Ladbrokes, in a 2-0 win over the disappointing Trotters who are up against it at the moment. The 2-0 win is 8/1 with Betdaq while you can have 40′s on the scorecast at .

Tottenham v Arsenal, Sun 2nd, 16.00, Skysports 1
The big game this weekend comes in the shape of the North London derby. I have already caused a stir in the Daily Star by claiming that only 2 fit Arsenal players would make it into the spurs squad – Sagna and Van Persie. The Gunners fans think I am Tottenham but no chance. But it does mean Spurs are 6/5 favourites with Betfred for this game and rightly so.

There is also the Emmanual Adebayor factor to contend with and that is bound to be controversial. This game will be high scoring, Coral putting 7/4 on 4 goals or more, but I go for 3-1 Spurs (18/1, Boylesports) with Adebayor scoring the first – 5/1 with bet365.
