Danny Fullbrook’s TV Tips

The Daily Star’s Chief Football writer, Danny Fullbrook, gives his verdict on the four televised Premier League fixtures this weekend.

Chelsea v Arsenal, Sat 29th, 12.45, Skysports 2
The biggest game of this weekend is the first game which sees Arsenal (5/1, Unibet) travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea (4/6, Coral). Another London derby for the Blues after a controversial match last weekend against QPR.

Chelsea will be missing Drogba and Bosingwa due to suspension. This means there will be a lot of extra pressure on both Sturridge and Anelka as they look to provide the goals.

From the Gunners’ point of view they do not tick without the influence of their own Van the Man. The club’s skipper and number one striker Van Persie is very important. But if Chelsea keep him quiet then the rest of them are quiet. For me this has a classic 1-1 written all over it, 7/1 with Sportingbet, with Sturridge scoring first, 6/1 at Stan James.

West Brom v Liverpool, Sat 29th, 17.30, ESPN
In the evening on Saturday is West brom v Liverpool, and while they got a good win over Wolves last weekend it is not the same as against Liverpool. Suarez will be too hot to handle and he will be the match winner in an 8/1 (betdaq) 2-1 away win for Liverpool. Suarez is 9/2 at Totesport to score last.

Tottenham v QPR, Sun 30th, 16.00, Skysports 1
QPR are back on SKY at 4pm on Sunday away at Spurs. Neil Warnock does have good squad and it will account for itself well.

But they will be beaten (Spurs are 2/5 with Betfred), at least 2-0 – it’s 13/2 with William Hill the correct score or evens with Skybet for a victory by 2 or more. Perhaps take Adebayor scoring the opener at 4/1 (Ladbrokes).

Stoke v Newcastle, Mon 31st, 20.00, Skysports 1
The Monday night game this week is Stoke v Newcastle which will be a really tough battle.

The Magpies have been the surprise package this season and on that basis I think they will keep that going with either a goalless draw (9/1, Stan James) or a narrow 1-0 victory, 17/1 with Paddy Power, with Ba getting the winner – he is 7/1 at bet365 to open the scoring.
