With a week to go, reigning champion Long Run has been backed into 5/4 from 11/8 at William Hill to win the King George VI Chase.
There has also been recent support for Kauto Star, now 4/1, while his stable mate Master Minded has been eased to 11/2
In the ‘without Long Run’ market, Arkle winner Captain Chris has been cut to 4/1 whilst Golan Way is now 20/1, in from 33’s.
William Hill spokesperson Lucy Rhodes said “Long Run is by far and away our worst result, his price having contracted even further in the past week, however you’d definitely expect momentum to shift once Kauto fever takes hold on the big day”
