Henrietta Knight’s Calgary Bay has been cut from 40/1 to 25/1 by Stan James for the Grand National after winning the Skybet Chase.
StanJames.com spokesman Rory Jiwani says, “The old stager looks rejuvenated with wins at Cheltenham and Doncaster. He stayed on gamely to beat Shakalakaboomboom but the National weights announcement on February 14th will be all-important.
“Runner-up Shakalakaboomboom remains a 20/1 shot for Aintree with Galaxy Rock cut from 33/1 to 25/1 after running a fine trial in fourth place. The extra distance of the National should play into the hands of Jonjo O’Neill’s eight-year-old.”
