We’re Keane On Robbie At 3/1

Live on Skysports 1: Sun 13.30 & 16.00: At 8/11 (Paddy Power), Man City should beat Aston Villa in the Premiership but Robbie Keane can score.

Aston Villa have won just six of their 24 matches this season, a statistic that has prompted some fans to organise a protest against manager Alex McLeish ahead of today’s clash with title-chasing Manchester City.

Supporters are also concerned that the Villans are without a home victory since Bonfire Night and that record is one of the reasons that Roberto Mancini’s troops are odds-on at 8/11 with Paddy Power to leave Villa Park with all three points.

However, ‘Eck’s troops, Stan James’ 9/2 outsiders have racked up a total of ten draws this season and Betfred’s 11/4 for them to register an eleventh stalemate could attract cash, especially as Villa have shared the spoils in their last couple on home soil.

Similarly, William Hill’s 13/2 for it to end one-each might prove popular but against a City team that has chalked up an impressive 18 victories in 24 outings, Villa look set for further woe.

Nevertheless, Aston Villa look set to find the net, Ladbrokes offering a tasty 4/5 for both teams to trouble the scorers and with that in mind, Skybet’s 15/2 for a 2-1 away success isn’t without appeal.

Counterintuitive as it sounds though, the best bet actually involves Villa striker Robbie Keane. The on-loan attacker has already bagged three goals since arriving from LA Galaxy but he has looked a threat in all five of his matches and looks too big to overlook at a generous 3/1 (bet365) to notch in this one.

At Molineux, Wolves are a 6/4 chance with bet365 to build on last week’s much-needed success at QPR and get the better of West Brom in what is sure to be a keenly contested derby showdown.

On first glance, with West Brom having stuttered a touch of late, that price catches the eye but despite their patchy form the Baggies, a 2/1 shot at Boylesports, have been solid on the road recently, losing just once in six attempts and they can pick up a point here, a result BetVictor rate at 12/5.

For the bold, Blue Square’s 6/1 for a 1-1 draw is worth considering as both teams should score (4/6, Partybets) while the match winner for Mick McCarthy’s men at Loftus Road, Kevin Doyle, can strike again; he’s 23/10 with Paddy Power to find the target at any stage.

Recommended Bets:
Robbie Keane to score at any time – 3/1 (bet365)
Wolves and West Brom to draw – 12/5 (BetVictor)
