Zarkandar, winner of last season’s Triumph Hurdle, is ahead of 8/1 Darlanand 9/1 Raya Star.
“Zarkandar looks a blot on the handicap given the way last year’s Triumph Hurdle has worked out but he’s priced accordingly and it’ll be interesting to see if he gets any shorter between now and the weekend,” said Betfred spokesman George Primarolo.
Ruby Walsh the odds-on favourite at 4/6 for this season’s top jockey at the Cheltenham Festival with Betfred. Barry Geragthy is the 3/1 second-favourite ahead of champion jockey AP McCoy who can be backed at 10/1.
