Following a fourth success in the World Hurdle, Stan James make Big Buck’s even money to win a fifth at next year’s Festival.
Irish mare Voler La Vedette made him work hard and gave his followers more than a few nervous moments.
StanJames.com spokesman Rory Jiwani says, “Voler La Vedette ran the race of her life but Big Buck’s proved too good yet again. In hindsight, his SP of 5/6 looks a huge price. We laid plenty of bets at 4/6 this morning but support for his rivals before the off meant the win only cost us around 50,000 pounds.
“It was the worst result in our book but sometimes you just have to accept the outcome. Hats off to the greatest staying hurdler we’ve ever seen. And we’re quoting Big Buck’s at even money to win a fifth World Hurdle next year.”
