Danny Fullbrook’s TV Tips

The Daily Star’s Chief Football writer, Danny Fullbrook, gives his verdict on the four TV Premier League fixtures this weekend.

Bolton v QPR, Sat 10th Mar, 12.45, Skysports 2
Bolton against QPR is a real six pointer and you can’t imagine how tense things are going to get for both of these teams now.

Owen Coyle and Mark Hughes can’t buy a result so the last thing that they will want is a draw, 12/5 with BetVictor. But for me, even with players back for QPR, I can’t see any other result. Unfortunately for their fans I think it is going to be 1-1, available at 6/1 with Coral.

Everton v Tottenham, Sat 10th Mar, 17.30, ESPN
Spurs have a couple of bad results to get out of their system. They were thrashed by Arsenal at the Emirates and then of course last weekend they were beaten by Manchester United and will want a win at Everton, a 13/8 chance with Stan James.

They are fast in danger of holding their third spot. Things will not go completely right this weekend but I feel they will get a draw, 23/10 with Ladbrokes, at Everton. A 1-1 scoreline is 6/1 with Blue Square while Emmanuel Adebayor to score first is 6/1 at BetVictor.

Norwich v Wigan, Sun 11th Mar, 16.00, Skysports 1
A bit of a mixed game is Norwich against Wigan. Paul Lambert’s team are 10/11 favs (Betfred) and are mid-table and not playing with any pressure while Roberto Martinez is under loads.

It was this time last year that Wigan started getting some amazing results and I think this could be another one – a Wigan win is 7/2 with Boylesports. I fancy a 2-1 away win for Wigan, chalked up at 14/1 by Totesport.

Arsenal v Newcastle, Mon 12th Mar, 20.00, Skysports 1
On Monday night is Arsenal v Newcastle and I just can’t see anybody stopping Arsene Wenger’s team at the moment.

They are in wonderful form, they deserve to be William Hill’s 1/2 favs, and while Newcastle (13/2, Stan James) are a good side I think Arsenal will win 3-1 at home, 11/1 with Coral, with Robin van Persie getting a double. The Dutchman is 3/1 (BetVictor) to open the scoring and 10/3 (Betfred) to score a brace or more.
