A run of five wins and two draws in seven games means Southampton are out in front in what looks like a three horse race for the Championship title and the in-form Saints can retain their lead at the summit by collecting maximum points at Millwall.
The Lions haven’t won a league match at the New Den since Boxing Day while Nigel Adkins’ men have carded back-to-back wins on the road so it’s easy to recommend Sportingbet’s 23/20 for an away win ahead of that one.
Another victor on the road could be Hull, who are 2/1 courtesy of Stan James to follow up the impressive midweek triumph at Cardiff by getting the better of Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. However, the Eagles are solid on their own patch and so the Tigers are a touch risky to double up with Southampton.
Instead Ipswich get the nod at 4/5 via Betfred as they entertain Peterborough at Portman Road. Paul Jewell’s charges battled back from 2-0 down to earn a point at Hull last time out and they have lost just once in eight outings. Furthermore, at home they have won three on the spin and they’re hard to resist given patchy Posh’s poor away record.
Double on Southampton and Ipswich – 14/5 (Sportingbet)
