Chelsea Final Bound At 10/1

The Daily Star’s Chief Football writer, Danny Fullbrook, is opting for Rooney goals and a narrow 2-1 Cup win for Chelsea (10/1, Betfred).

Premier League: Man Utd v A Villa, Sun 15th Apr, 16.00, Skysports 1
On Sunday, Manchester United should extend their lead at the top with a victory over Villa, 1/4 with Betfred.

Aston Villa, 14/1 with Coral, actually won this tie the season before last but they look a bit jaded under McLeish. Sir Alex will have focused United so much after their slip up at Wigan that they don’t stand a chance of losing. United to win without conceding is 10/11 with Paddy Power while Rooney is 5/2 (Blue Square) to help himself to two or more.

FA Cup: Chelsea v Tottenham, Sun 15th Apr, 18.00, ITV1
Back to the Cup and it’s another derby cracker at Wembley. Spurs deny they’re in a slump but they are – three wins in eleven says they are (including one over Stevenage).

Chelsea are my back then as slight outsiders at 19/10 (William Hill), Harry’s Tottenham just shading it at 17/10 with Stan James. Chelsea have hardly been vintage but, as opposed to Spurs, they’ve been grinding them out. A 2-1 win for the Blues is 10/1 (Betfred) and Juan Mata is the 10/1 man to score last (Boylesports).

Premier League: Arsenal v Wigan, Mon 16th Apr, 20.00, Skysports 1
On Monday, Arsenal entertain a sprightly Wigan side who are 11/1 with Boylesports to take down another big name.

That said, at 2/7 (Skybet), Arsenal shouldn’t have many problems and while it might take them until after half time to take the lead, they should go onto win (7/2, Totesport).

With goals in their last six games Wigan have been finding the net and so Betfred’s evens on both teams to score should be mentioned but a solid 3-1 home win looks good at 10/1 (Coral).
