Seabass, third in the National on Saturday and subject of a big gamble, is 20/1 co-fav with Coral to land the 2013 Grand National.
Runner-up Sunnyhillboy and On His Own are the others quoted at 20/1 in Coral’s opening show on next year’s John Smith’s Grand National.
“Next year’s Grand National will make history as the first one to be shown on a terrestrial TV channel other than the BBC, but with more bets taken this year than ever before, we are confident the race will retain its unique position as the one horserace to capture the wider public’s imagination,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
“Clearly right now it faces challenges far greater than just the switch to Channel 4, but it’s up to everyone involved in and who loves the sport to ensure the Grand National, and indeed racing as a whole, defends itself against the vocal minority that is opposed to it,” added Stevens.
