Bonfire has been cut to 5/1 from 10/1 for June’s Investec Derby by Coral following victory in Thursday’s Dante Stakes at York.
Camelot is still evens fav at Epsom with two other trial winners, Imperial Monarch and Main Sequence, both 12/1.
“Bonfire was second favourite for the Derby ahead of the Dante, and he duly confirmed that position with victory in what is often an informative trial, and he will head to Epsom as the leading challenger to the red-hot favourite,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
