After his Derby-winning exploits at Epsom yesterday, StanJames.com are offering 4/1 that Camelot goes one better than the great Nijinsky by winning the English Triple Crown and the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe this year.
The firm’s Rory Jiwani told betrescue.com, “We make Camelot a 1/3 shot to win the St Leger and he could well win that without being extended in the slightest. He’s incredibly laid back and three weeks between the Leger and the Arc should be enough.
“He’s currently 9/4 favourite for Longchamp with stablemate St Nicholas Abbey next best at 5/1. So we’re going 4/1 that Camelot completes the Leger and Arc double and, in doing so, becomes the first horse to win the English Triple Crown and the Arc in the same season.”
