Defending champion Our Jonathan is now the 10/1 favourite with Coral to retain his Ayr Gold Cup crown following the draw.
Hawkeyethenoo has also attracted cash this week and is trading at 12/1 but it’s last year’s victor in the six-furlong battle that has been all the rage with punters.
Speaking to Betrescue, Coral’s David Stevens said, “at this stage it’s hard to know how much influence the draw will have on Saturday, but Our Jonathan has been the best-backed horse this week, and provided the weather relents, he will be well fancied for a repeat success.”
Elsewhere, Blue Surf, and Kirthill are Coral’s 5-1 joint-favourites for Newbury’s Dubai Duty Free Handicap.
