Back Even Money Arsenal – 1

Daily Record betting guru Paul Jain marks your Champions League card and fancies Arsenal for a handicap win and Aguero to score first for Man City.
Tonight there some well-fancied shorties and a couple of ties where the sides are more closely matched.

So let’s start with Arsenal who should be too good for Olympiakos. The Gunners’ great start to the season ended with a 2-1 defeat at home to Chelsea on Saturday but Arsene Wenger’s men are ready to bounce back against the Greeks.

Arsene Wenger’s men are no bigger than 4-11 (William Hill) so consider them to win minus one goal (1-1, bet365).

The other Group B game sees Schalke entertain a Montpellier side who lost to Arsenal on day one. The Germans also won their opener and although their home form has been mixed I expect them to take care of the French who have made a poor start to their league season.

Man City were so unlucky to lose on matchday one after a thriller in the Nou Camp and should make amends by taking care of Borussia Dortmund at home.

City conceded a last-minute winner after leading 2-1 and the display should give them confidence ahead of a meeting with the German champions.

Take Roberto Mancini’s men at 7-10 with BetVictor and I fancy Sergio Aguero at 5-1 with Stan James to break the deadlock.

Best bet here, however, could be both teams to score at 17-20 with Ladbrokes. This market has come up in City’s last eight as the champions struggle to keep a clean sheet and there is no doubt Dortmund will attack. They’ve netted 10 goals in three games including five against Moenchengladbach at the weekend.

Real head to Holland for a meeting with Ajax and having netted 10 goals in their last three you have to be on the Spanish champions at 4-9 (various). Euro expert Cristiano Ronaldo is 3-1 (Ladbrokes, Paddy Power) to bag the opener.

The games in Group C between Zenit v Milan and Anderlecht v Malaga look close calls and could be draws.

Porto take on big-spending PSG at home and the French can put down a marker with a win. Both sides are unbeaten this season but the French look in better shape and of course possess a huge threat up front in the shape of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. They are 9-4 at bet365 and Betfred while Ibra is 15-8 with Stan James to score.

Dynamo Kiev and Dynamo Zagreb both lost their openers but it’s Kiev who can revive their fortunes with three points. The Ukrainian side are no bigger than 9-20 at BetVictor.
