Absent Murray on drift for SPOTY

BetVictor pushed Andy Murray out to 5/1 (from 9/2) for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year following the news that US Open Champion & Olympic Gold Medallist won’t be at the presentation evening at the Excel Arena London on Sunday December 16th.

Spokesperson Charlie McCann told betrescue.com: “SPOTY is a fascinating betting heat as punters must decide whether or not the sport of cycling, and thus the chances of favourite Bradley Wiggins, have been tainted irreversibly by the recent doping allegations surrounding seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong; we have eased the Tour winner from 8/11 to 4/5 but that might drift again if there are any more revelations in the run up to the event.”

BBC Sports Personality of the Year; prices from BetVictor;
B Wiggins: 4/5 (from 8/11)
M Farah: 9/2
A Murray: 5/1 (from 9/2)
J Ennis: 6/1
28/1 Bar
