Trading Leather made it a double for Jim Bolger on Future Champions Day with a game victory over Montiridge in the Autumn Stakes.
Rory Jiwani of StanJames.com said, “We’ve cut Trading Leather from 20/1 to 14/1 for next year’s Epsom Derby for which we make stablemate Dawn Approach the 5/1 favourite. Montiridge is 33/1 from 66/1 for the Derby with Richard Hannon’s colt 33/1 from 40/1 for the 2000 Guineas.
“We’ve left Trading Leather unchanged at 25/1 for the 2000 Guineas with Dawn Approach sure to be Bolger’s first-string for the race. Last weekend’s Dewhurst winner is the 5/2 favourite for the first Classic of 2013.”
