Are you on course for a big win this weekend? New statistics reveal the profile of a successful punter on the Grand National.
Do you stand a good chance of winning big on this year’s National? If you are a pensioner from the North West, then you should be particularly excited…
Bookmakers BetVictor have analysed their data on the Grand National for the last two years, since they have been betting ¼ odds six places on the race, and found that a 75-year-old woman from Lancaster has the perfect profile for a successful National punter.
BetVictor’s findings are based on the analysis of over 250,000 bets on the Grand National over the last two years. The statistics were used to identify trends and formulate the DNA of a successful punter ahead of this year’s Grand National.
Residents of Lancaster proved to be the most successful in the country, winning nearly 40% of their bets, and 75 is the luckiest age to bet on the National, with veteran gamblers landing nearly a quarter of all bets placed. The results also show that women just edged past men in backing the right horses more often.
BetVictor Chairman, Victor Chandler, commented: “Experience, it would appear, counts for everything when finding the National winner as the most successful age group was those aged 75, since we have been betting ¼ odds first six on the race; there was little between men and women in our findings, with the fairer sex just shading it, whilst Lancaster was the most successful geographical area with over 38.5% of winning bets over the two-year period. We want to put our findings to the test and are giving five punters with a winning profile £20 each to bet on Saturday’s big race and we will compare their results when the dust has settled next week.”
Females aged 75 years who live in Lancaster should get in touch to enter for a free bet by emailing: email@example.com with their name, date of birth and address.
