Rock-bottom Bristol City finally picked up their first victory of the season last week and they did so in impressive fashion, overcoming in-form Carlisle in the Cumbrians’ own backyard.
Buoyed by that result, the Robins look decent value at 6/5 via Stan James to follow it up by collecting another maximum haul, this time at home to an Oldham outfit with an absolutely dismal away record.
Wolves promotion bid remains well and truly on track after the 2-1 triumph at Bradford and they’re hard to oppose, even at just 1/2 (Betfred) as they tack on improving Stevenage at Molineux.
Solid at Deepdale, fourth-placed Preston catch the eye at a generous 4/6 with William Hill as they entertain relegation-threatened Tranmere.
Admittedly Rovers have shown signs of life of late, picking up victories against MK Dons and Bradford but North End have steadied the ship after a recent mini-wobble and should have too much for the visitors.
Finally in League One, Swindon (5/6, BetVictor) can bounce back from consecutive defeats as they take on Port Vale. The Robins are excellent at the County Ground while the Valiants have lost more than they have won on their travels.
Fourfold on Bristol City, Wolves, Preston and Swindon – 9/1 (BetVictor)
