Communicator 13/8 @ Ludlow

Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Wednesday; Communicator in the Ludlow 17:15. Compare odds and bet.

Plenty of decent action on Wednesday from both Doncaster and Ludlow, where Jonjo O’Neill book-ends the card with a couple of strong chances in the two maiden hurdles.

Champagne Present remains a horse of potential, but the day’s selection comes in the concluding contest. Smart on the Flat, Communicator (5:15) chased home Josses Hill on his debut over hurdles last season and returned in the same Newbury maiden in December, finishing just fifth on his debut for O’Neill.

His stable was struggling at the time and the seven-year-old didn’t jump particularly fluently. Given that he was still competitive in marks in the 90s in good handicaps on the level last season, he really ought to be up to winning over hurdles and the son of Motivator can take this before stepping up in grade.

His Flat speed should help him around a track like Ludlow and he could even end up at Aintree, if all goes to plan this afternoon.

Wednesday’s selection:
5:15 Ludlow: Communicator; 13/8 bet365
