Paul Ferguson has two selections from Kempton for us on Monday; Lettheriverrundry at 1.00 and Brother Tedd at 2.30. Compare odds and bet.
All eyes will be on Silviniaco Conti at Kempton Monday but, while he is rated much lower over hurdles, he has needed his first run of the season for the past two years and this should put him spot on for the Betfair Chase. Today’s 2m5f is also on the sharp side for him.
The trip is ideal for BROTHER TEDD (2:30) however and he won on this card 12 months ago. Philip Hobbs’ grey progressed nicely throughout last season and, though he only receives 13lbs from the dual King George winner, the grey can make a winning return.
Earlier on the card Dueling Banjos should go well on his debut for Kim Bailey, though that 2m5f novices’ hurdle looks quite competitive.
In contrast, the opener over 2m looks fairly weak and it will be disappointing if LETTHERIVERRUNDRY (1:00) can’t make a winning debut over hurdles.
Brendan Powell’s five-year-old looked fairly useful when winning a Towcester bumper last November, after which he could finish only sixth in a decent event at Ayr on Scottish Grand National day.
The Diamond Green gelding is ridden by Barry Geraghty for the first time this afternoon and he can provide the jockey with another winner in the green and gold hoops of his new boss, JP McManus.
Monday’s selections:
1:00 Kempton – Lettheriverrundry; 9/2 betvictor
2:30 Kempton – Brother Tedd; 5/2 betvictor
