Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Wednesday; Myska 14:50 at Taunton and Grove Silver in the 12:50 at Haydock. Compare odds and bet.
Willie Mullins sends the unbeaten MYSKA (2:50) over to Taunton on Wednesday and the daughter of Presenting can land the Listed mares’ novices’ hurdle.
The five-year-old impressively beat the useful Miss Dinamic (won six times since) in a Clonmel bumper in April and she bolted up on her hurdles debut at Thurles last month.
That success came over 2m6f but the drop in trip is not a concern, as she is a free-going sort who looks to have the speed to win over 2m. She does need to hurdle more fluently in this grade, but she looks a potentially high-class mare and is fancied to make it three from three. She was trading at 10-11 overnight.
Up at Haydock GROVE SILVER (12:50) is worth a small interest in the novices’ handicap chase.
Jennie Candlish’s grey caught the eye when eventually well beaten in a decent event at Newbury’s Hennessy meeting before flopping at Uttoxeter.
It could be that the Uttoxeter race came too quickly for him and, though he isn’t the most consistent, he is a horse that is capable of winning off his current mark and he does like deep ground.
Though he faces several others who like to race prominently, Aidan Coleman’s mount looks worth chancing at 16-1 (Bet365).
