Nicky Henderson’s five-year-old beat Clan Des Obeaux on his British debut last January (also had Consul De Thaix and one of today’s rivals Who Dares Wins in behind), after which he won a minor novice event at Sandown before finishing second at Auteuil.
That Cheltenham form now reads pretty well and he looked last term as if he’d improve going up in trip. Off since November, he was declared to run at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day so should be ready for this return.
