Celtic are 90 minutes away from sporting immortality, with the Hoops unbeaten domestically heading into this afternoon’s Scottish Cup final with Aberdeen. Brendan Rodgers’ side have been flawless this term thus far, winning the league with an astonishing 106 points and 30 clear of their nearest pursuers in second place. The Dons chased home Celtic at the top of the Premier League table and are 6/1 to spoil Celtic’s party at Hampden; the Hoops 1/2 to get the job done inside the 90 and 1/4 with BetVictor to complete an emphatic clean sweep in Scotland.

Penalty Awarded 9/4

Red Card Issued 11/4

After struggling to a 2-2 with Ross County with just five league games to go the Hoops bounced back in resounding fashion, winning their remaining four league games, netting 14 times in the process, including beating Aberdeen 3-1 on the final day of the season.

BetVictor are 11/1 for a repeat scoreline at the home of football however, Celtic halftime/fulltime is the recommendation at 5/4 although the Dons have been scoring freely of late and Celtic to win and both teams to score at 21/10 is another likely scenario.

It will be interesting to see how Celtic’s front-three combine in the final third with Leigh Griffiths marginal favourite to open the scoring over teammates Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair. The latter has finished with a flourish and after netting an outstanding 25 goals in his maiden season at Celtic Park and looks over-priced at both 4/1 with BetVictor to break the deadlock and even money to net anytime against the Dons.

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes could lead his side out for the final time this afternoon, so keep an eye on any potential emotional send-off. The Dons’ boss has been backed into 3/1 from 12s second favourite to replace David Moyes at the Stadium of Light, which would make a second successive season a manager has won the Scottish Cup only to leave the club just days after.

Many scoffed when Virgil van Dijk left Celtic for Southampton for £13m in September 2015 – reports suggest he will cost potential suitors, and there are many, in excess of £50m if he leaves St Mary’s this summer. The Dutchman is a 13/8 chance to join Champions Chelsea during the summer transfer window, and he looks the natural heir apparent to John Terry who leaves Stamford Bridge after 18 years of service in West London.
